Integrates evidence-based psychopharmacology with psychotherapy, patient education, collaboration, and careful evaluation of physiologic contributors to psychiatric symptoms.
Approaches complex clinical presentations with intellectual curiosity and a collaborative mindset, integrating current evidence, consultation with colleagues, and thoughtful clinical reasoning to develop individualized treatment plans.CLINICAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe outstanding psychiatric care begins with listening. Every patient deserves to feel genuinely heard, understood, and respected. Mental health is shaped by biology, trauma, relationships, medical conditions, sleep, nutrition, environment, and life experience. My role is to understand the complete picture before recommending treatment.
While medication can be life-changing, it represents only one part of comprehensive psychiatric care. I integrate thoughtful psychopharmacology with psychotherapy, patient education, collaboration, and evidence-based medicine to help patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvement.I always knew I was supposed to help others. I'm a real human being who has struggled with long-term trauma and medical issues. I don’t pretend to be perfect. I've learned in life that there's a critical difference between "living" and "surviving." I want to help you find a life worth living! I graduated at the top of my class for both MSN (Spring Arbor University, 3.94 GPA) and BSN (Linfield College, 3.84 GPA). I have experience (real-life, medical, mental health) paired with an incredible education. I pair excellent assessment and prescribing authority with therapy. I'm not afraid to think outside the box. I spend more time with patients than most providers.
I am empathetic and believe that education is one of the most powerful tools with which a person can be empowered. I offer excellent assessment, medication management, and psychotherapy skills combining cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectic behavioural therapy, and solutions-focused therapy skills. Come as you are. We will work together to find some peace!
Life is precious, it is a gift. I strive for excellent care and am not afraid to reach out to research or a second opinion when needed. I am a real human, though I am heavily armed with empathy, love, experience, and education. I know my resources and I am not afraid to use them. You are worth the best, and I aspire to provide it - to provide peace, at last.

Your initial appointment is a comprehensive 90-120 minute evaluation designed to hep me understand you as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms. Prior to our visit, I will thoroughly review any records you are able to provide so that our time together can be spent focusing on your story, concerns, goals, and treatment needs.
During this appointment, we will complete an in-depth assessment of both your current and historical mental health symptoms, medical history, lifestyle factors, and life experiences that may be contributing to your overall well-being. We will begin building a therapeutic relationship, explore potential root causes of symptoms, and incorporate psychotherapy techniques to better understand patterns, challenges, and strengths.
Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, psychotherapy-based interventions, lifestyle modifications, laboratory testing, and referrals when appropriate. While I do not directly manage most physical health conditions, physiologic factors often play a significant role in mental health and can affect treatment outcomes if left unaddressed. For this reason, I take a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to care and am not hesitant to order appropriate testing or collaborate with other healthcare professionals when needed.

Follow-up appointments are typically 30-60 minutes and are designed to evaluate progress, refine your treatment plan, and provide ongoing support. During these visits, we will review how you have responded to treatment, discuss any concerns or side effects, assess symptom improvement, and review laboratory or diagnostic test results when applicable.
In addition to medication management, follow-up visits incorporate psychotherapy techniques and practical strategies to support lasting improvement. We may address stress management, coping skills, emotional regulation, behavioural patterns, relationship concerns, trauma-related symptoms, lifestyle factors, sleep, nutrition, and other areas that influence mental health.
Treatment plans are continually adjusted based on your individual needs and goals, ensuring that care remains personalized, collaborative, and responsive to your progress.
